Jaimee's DIY Corner!

It has been a busy time lately, but here is the long awaited Step 1:
Sanding.
You need to sand with a flat surface. You can purchase sanding blocks from Bunnings for $5ish, but I saved the $5 and used a flat rock that Little House has adopted as a multi purpose tool. (Also very useful as a hammer). Wrap the sand paper around it so that the surface is even once you have finished.
Just sand until the shine of the old paint has gone. We're not getting rid of all the paint because it is going to act as our undercoat.
Don't worry if the edges get sanded too far. My drawers did not come to me me in excellent condition and had a few chips and scrathces on them. We are going ot be painting over them anyway.
Happy sanding!
